Halloween preview

Friday night was the party/dance at the school for Kay, Joce and Nate. Marsh wore his new wig and got plenty of laughs!! Nate ended up being sick most of the weekend but we were able to spend some quality time Saturday night carving pumpkins and we did make it to TrunkTreats at the church on Sunday night. We had a great time visiting with everyone and handing out lots of candy.
Today was Nate's trip to Johnson's farm with his pre-k class. We snuck down to the snack stand and shared a cider donut! Yummy!! It was so nice to just spend some time with him, alone. That doesnt happen too often. Hope all is well with everyone!

Marsh and I were sitting at the counter last night and Zach was sitting in front of the fridge playing with his ABC toy. He started singing and I started videoing. He realized it in the middle and told me to stop "picturing" him. I told him that he needed to stand up and just sing to the camera and.....here it is!

Fun With Friends

Last weekend, we headed over to Shawnee High School to catch the band competition and support some friends. It was soooo cold but the kids hung on really well til the end. They enjoyed it so much. All of the colors and lights and sound. We may try to go to Baltimore in November for Nationals. That should be fun!! On Monday, we took a trip to the Discovery Museum for Nate's friend, Chip's birthday! The boys had such a wonderful time and I did too!! I am going to post a few pictures from the last 2 weeks just for fun. Random, but cute!

We just got home last night from what was supposed to be our last hoorah in Chincoteague!! (We decided that we would sneak down one more time before we close up!!) What a wonderful weekend!! The weather couldn't have been any more perfect! On Saturday, we headed to the beach and did some swimming and surf fishing with Poppop and Memom. On Sunday, we lounged around in the morning and then did some fishing off the dock and pool time as well. I can't believe we were swimming in the ocean and the pool during the first week of October!! It was great!! Yesterday, we snuck in a little more fishing and then headed to the pool for one last dip before we headed home. A last lunch at Maria's and then cake batter ice cream from the Creamery.... yum yum.... I can't wait for November..... The reason for the title of this post goes to the Nate-man. On Saturday, when we went up to the docks, he just watched everyone start fishing...he didn't ask if he could do it, he just watched for a few minutes. I asked him if he wanted to try and he said "yes". So, I handed him the pole and said "hang on a sec and I will show you how to cast it buddy". Well, I turned my head away and next thing I know, I hear the line dropping in the water about 25 yds out!! I turned to Marsh and said "was that your line?!?" He said, laughing, "Nope!! THAT was Nate!!!" This kid was amazing...just casting like he had always been doing it! Everyone on the dock got a great kick out of him and we had many laughs this weekend, calling him the "master caster"!! Fun!! One other funny note.....Zach is an eating machine (which most of you already know) but we have never offered him hoagie. Probably, because none of my other kids would have ever even come close to eating one. Til this weekend....Marsh had leftovers from Saturday night's dinner and he let Zach have some.... some, I say....Zach was loving it!! I included a picture to let you see how much he loved it!!! I am so thankful for my family and for all that God has blessed us with. I mean, truly blessed us with!! We had a wonderful weekend as a family, great weather, a place to stay and great time with each other. Thank you Lord for everything that you have given us!!
